England takes on the USA in their second group match of the competition, this fixture may well prove to be a little unpredictable and not as clear-cut as many may think.
England demolished the 20th FIFA ranked side of Iran 6-2 in their opener highlighting both their attacking prowess and their defensive vulnerabilities.
Whilst the USA started incredibly well against Wales, their efforts petered out and they look easy to contain in the second half.

The USA doesn’t have a very strong squad, however, and it’s hard to see them beating England, though we are prone to mistakes I think we have too much going forward for them.
They have also lost to the likes of Canada, Costa Rica, and Japan en route to this competition something that doesn’t read well.
Bookmakers had the USA at 150/1 before the start of the tournament and England at 8/1 and the USA’s FIFA rank is 16th when compared to England’s 5th.
England Ready To Go Through To The Next Stage
A win here for England should be enough to take them through to the next stage of the competition already and a win is something that I feel is the most likely outcome in this match.
Barring any mistakes or discipline issues, England should be winning this fixture comfortably, with the USA possibly only likely to be a threat a few times during this match.
Not only does the USA have to beat a far better team but they have to try and put over 70 years of not having beaten us behind them too.
Once again the way that England demolished Iran will have sent out a message to other teams they will be facing and the USA should be worried.
England Vs USA Prediction England Cruise Through To The Round Of 16
This a headline that I would expect to see the day after this match has been played, I really can’t make a case for the Americans here and the quality can really shine through for England in what could be a high-scoring game.
Kane has to be the pick again for the first goalscorer and will likely remain that for every fixture (I fancy him for golden boot too).
I don’t think that the USA will be getting gon the scoresheet here, a conservative guess would be a 2-0 win to England but on a good day, it could be a lot bigger than that.
Overall it’s an England straight win, though the odds may not be great its more than likely to happen.
