Spain and Germany will clash this Sunday in what could be a glimpse into the future of who will be in the final of this competition, as always it will depend on how this game pans out and it could be a close one.
Spain played strongly against Costa Rica early doors a team that on their day can cause any side issues.
They were soon into their stride 2-0 up before being awarded a penalty after just 30 minutes which they duly converted, they had already conquered Cost Rica in a strong performance.
Germany struggled at first against Japan before breaking the deadlock via a penalty in the first half also having one chalked off for offside.
In the second half, it was again hard work for the Germans against a well-drilled Japanese team, possession-wise though Germany dominated for most of the match they were then hit twice by Japan who deserved to beat them with a quality goal.
Germany Dark Horses?
Before the competition started, there was a lot of talk that Denmark were dark horses to win the cup this year, but after their first performance, I don’t see why.
Germany is more of a dark horse than ever this time around they threw away a good lead against England, and have been solid overall but they are not winning as many games as they should.
That being said grinding out results is what this tournament is all bout, that being said they did get a good spanking last time they played Spain in the UEFA Nations League losing 6-0!
Should they beat Spain it would undoubtedly throw the cat amongst the pigeons.
Spain Vs Germany Prediction…Spain Too Strong
I feel that the Spain side is too strong for the Germans here, the 6-0 smashing they inflicted on them will hurt and Germany may be over-cautious in the early stages trying not to concede.
They will need to be on their defensive game for the whole game and any extreme amount of extra time added on because this Spain side is quality.
Generally, I think it on paper should be a close game but I am going to go for an Easy and comfortable Spain win.
The way they picked them apart last time was incredible and there is no reason why they won’t do it again.
The way that Spain came out against Costa Rica should send a warning to Germany who got beaten by Japan and they could well be on their way out if they lose to Spain here.
A Dominant Spain Win Is On The Cards
So the main prediction for this game is a strong showing from the Spain team and they are well worth backing to win on a -2 goal handicap here.
Over 2.5 goals is a solid bet in this one too as I feel there are 3 or 4 goals in this game at least.
Hard to say who wills core first in this one so I will avoid that altogether but it could also be worth opting for Spain to win and both teams to score too.
Germany will have to throw caution to the win in order to make sure they get through to the next round and they have it all to do.
