Pine of Plinko 2 is the second instalment in the franchise from the developers at Print Studios, available across a wide range of platforms in the UK. But how do you play it, and what inspired the theme and mechanics? Let’s dive in.
About the Game
If you are wondering how to play Pine of Plinko 2 then the menu button in the right-hand corner shows players the complete gameplay rules and the paytable for the game. After getting to grips with the details, players can select a bet amount from 0.10, before selecting the golden play button when they’re ready to spin the five reels and three rows. The reels will stop spinning at random, showing a selection of symbols on the grid, the results of which are entirely down to luck. If three or more of the same symbol land on the board, players could win a prize value of between 2x and 200x their spin.
There are 10 winlines across the reels, with a maximum total win amount of 20,000x the original spin value. Pine of Plinko 2 is highly volatile, in line with the majority of games from Print Studios. This game combines some elements of bingo and slot games, as well as some other games you’ll probably have heard of before…
Inspiration Behind the Mechanics

As you’ll probably have guessed, one of the key inspirations behind the game is Plinko. The game of Plinko was first played on the TV show The Price is Right, created by executive producer Frank Wayne, and debuting on 3rd January 1983. During the game, balls or counters are dropped down a pegboard into various prize pots at the bottom. In Pine of Plinko 2, three or more snow-covered Plinko ball scatters activate the Plinko bonus round. Players get 10 drops of various numbers of balls, which fall down the themed Plinko pegboard.
The game of Plinko itself shares some of its gameplay and rules with the popular game of Pinball, which respectively traces its roots back to the 18th-century French parlour game Bagatelle. Just like Pinball, the Plinko bonus round has bumpers in the middle of the pegboard. Hitting the bumpers increases the ‘Plinko meter’, which can increase the number of balls available to be dropped up to 2,560.

Theme and Graphics
Pine of Plinko 2 takes players back to the same pine tree house that is found in the first game. However, the house has had a glow-up, both in size and in the literal sense. This game has a more winter wonderland type of feel than the original, with warm glowing windows contrasting with the fresh snow and ice surrounding the building.
The game features carved wooden gnomes — Piney, Waley, Kingly, and Coney. The gnomes are set amongst wooden machinery and metal cogs that give off the vibe of a festive workshop or small, snowy village.
As you can see, Pine of Plinko 2 is inspired by traditional and modern classic games like Pinball and Plinko, using digital platforms to create an immersive virtual experience. With a wintry vibe and cool bonus rounds, it puts a new spin on the original gameplay.
