Cheltenham Festival Horses To Watch 2024

Welcome to our 5 Cheltenham Festival horses to watch in 2024, we have 5 horses some of which are very big prices to keep your eye on for this year’s Cheltfest.

Picking a winner at Cheltenham is not an easy task even if you back all the favourites chances are you’re not going to end the festival with a profit.

We have been looking through the fields and we have come up with 5 horses that we think can perform very well at decent odds, so without further ado let’s get into it.

5 Cheltenham Festival Horses to Watch in 2024

Here are our top 5 Cheltenham festival horses to watch…

  1. Ballyburn 11/10

Horse number one is Ballyburn in the Supreme Novices on day 1 of the festival, Ballyburn is looking like he will go off a short-priced favourite.

He is currently 11/10 but as we draw closer to the meeting we expect this will shortern a lot more.

He has lost only once in his career, interestingly to Firefox (who runs in this race too) possibly down to an error jumping.

That said he has since put that way behind him winning his next two, most notably in February 2024 winning with ease at Leopardstown staying on strongly.

Many of the best horse racing tipsters will have this one marked out for day 1 too no doubt.

2. Langer Dan 8/1

On day 2 in the Coral Cup Langert Dan is our free Cheltenham tip for this race. He has been growing in confidence and though his form coming into this race is nothing to write home about.

He tends to leave his best for this meeting winning here last year and has probably been preparing all year for this race.

One worth each way betting come race day that’s for sure.

3. Chantry House 10/1

Is declared on day 3 and after the wind op surgery has gradually improved pretty markedly and looks to be set up for a big run at the festival should he go ahead.

Stays up to 3 miles so the trip and ground won’t be too much of a worry, and the bigger test in stamina up the Cheltenham hill could prove to its advantage.

Another horse that is advised as an each way and get as many places as you can get on the day as bookies often pay up to 5 or 6 places for the Cheltenham Festival.

4. Sir Gino 5/6

Declared for the JCB on Gold Cup day Sir Gino looks like a strong horse for getting a winner on the final day. Has won all 3 of his races to date and can certainly take the Cheltenham course in his stride, a worthy favourite and another that will probably be a lot shorter come race day.

5. Galopin Des Champs evens

Our free Cheltenham Gold Cup tip is unsurprisingly the favourite but it is a worthwhile favourite after winning two grade 1 races in preparation for the big one, at evens right now it’s a great price and will surely go off odds on come Gold Cup day.

That completes our 5 Cheltenham horses to watch for the festival in 2024, whatever happens, though we hope you get a winner or two this year and we hope that all the horses we have mentioned can deliver on the big day.
