England Can Go Top At The Greeks Expense
The interim manager Lee Carlsley has been doing a good job since the departure of Gareth Southgate, winning both his games in charge 2-0 over the Republic Of Ireland and Finland respectively.
Ezri Konsa, Kobbie Mainoo, and Morgan Gibbs-White are all out of contention for tonight’s game after picking up injuries, Harry Kane has also not been doing full training so it looks like Ollie Watkins, or Dominic Solanke will go up front.
Watkins has been in good form for Villa and certainly knows where the target is, tonight is his chance to shine and show why he can give Kane the competition to start that he needs.
Greece No Pushovers
Greece are now slouches they already top the group by goal difference having matched England’s 2-0 over Ireland and going one better with a 3-0 over Finland.
Greece comes into this match with some awful tragic news about George Baldock, and being a Sheffield United fan myself I just want to give my condolences to his family he was an incredible player, full of passion, and will be sorely missed by all.
Fotis Ioannidis I the danger man for Greece with 3 goals in his last two appearances and can certainly cause England’s backline some discomfort given the opportunity.
England Vs Greece Match Predictions
This could very well be an England win but I think at the expense of a clean sheet, something we have never really completely nailed is stopping goals going into our net.
We face a side that is a lot better than Finland and the Republic Of Ireland tonight and I think that will make it a much better watch and most Football Tipsters will be going for an easy England win here.
Greece should push the best out of our strikers and midfielders tonight and I can see England scoring at least two, let’s just hope we only concede one!
