Argentina Growing Into The Tournament But…
Argentina has certainly got better as the tournament has progressed but to me, they are lacking in many areas and seem to rely on Messi far too much to help them win games.
Yes Messi can certainly win this one for them also but the Aussies are not going to be an easy pushover team I feel, they have already proven they can mix it up with the big boys.
The number of surprises so far in the tournament should tell us anything can happen going forward into these big last 16 matches.
The Aussies Are Up For It
Australia has played far beyond my expectations and I think it would be folly to write them off again here, Argentina lost to Saudi Arabia in their first match and I think Australia is a stronger side.
I think the Aussies can definitely get a goal its whether they can totally keep Argentina out of their box for the duration of the game.
They have battling qualities and the best teams grind out wins, I honestly can’t call this one, but I do think both teams will score.
Argentina Vs Australia Match Predictions – Does It Go The Distance?
Yes, I think this one could go into extra time with both teams getting on the scoresheet possibly Australia first as a surprise but then Argentina making life very hard for them and getting one back.
Both teams to score looks almost certain to me, and the correct score could be a 1-1 or even a 2-2, with the game going to extra time.
Should it go to extra time it may be worth siding with Argentina to win either rin extra time or on penalties.
Messi is the obvious first goalscorer choice.
Team to win = is Argentina in extra time or on penalties (game to end a draw in normal time)
Both teams to score? = Yes
Over 2.5 goals = No
