World Cup Map for Russia 2018
The 2018 World Cup in Russia is now just a few weeks away as excitement continues to build for fans around the World. Many people heading over will be making their final preparations ahead of the marque event so is this you? Well if so then this map will certainly be of help. It covers vital locations that may be required such as hospitals and key travel networks. You can find this below!
Going in there is no doubt Germany are the team to beat having landed the competition four years ago in Brazil. They are also the number 1 ranked side in the World and are the 2nd most successful in the history of the World Cup. The latest World Cup odds to win makes them 9/2 shots which is a fair reflection of their chances. This puts them as joint-favourites to land the title with the incredible attacking Brazil side. Germany have a vast amount of experience in the side so will be a danger to any side they play. With players such as Muller and Ozil there is no doubt they are likely to again be contesting the latter end of the tournament. They will also almost certainly be eager to win and draw level with Brazil on five World Cup titles.
Could this be the year that England win their 2nd title following their victory back in 1966. They were dominant throughout their qualifying campaign so must be going into the competition with some confidence. However, for fans, it is certainly more hope than expectation as clearly England do not have as strong a squad as they have in the past. They will be looking for star players such as Kane to bring in their top form as he has been showing throughout the season for Tottenham.
They have been drawn in a positive looking group with two teams who look to be below the level in Tunisia and Panama so expectations will be high of defeating both these sides. They have also been drawn against the World class outfit of Belgium who not only have one of the top sides on paper but are also the 3rd ranked side in football today. This puts them only behind the super powers of Germany and Brazil. There is no doubt Belgium are favourites to top the group but England will be more than expecting to progress through to the knock out stages. The World Cup just cannot come soon enough!
