Epsom Derby 2020 Tips

My Epsom Derby 2020 tips are here, One of the most famous races in sporting history the Derby runs at 4.55 pm on Saturday the 4th of July

A few months ago it felt as though we would never have anything to look forward to yet here I am writing about the Epsom Derby which is actually going to go ahead tomorrow.

English King should go off favourite and is currently 9/4 on most bookmakers websites, a fast improving Camelot colt that has bags of potential so its easy to see why, but what else could win the big race this year.

My Candidiates

Odds wise this could go to a number of horses but I have narrowed it down to three horses for you all, maybe you want to back them all each way I don’t know but these have the best chances.

English King

The current favourite and has tons of ability having won held up last time quickened well and took a listed race in style.

Does not have some proven form like others do at a higher level though and to be a favourite for me you have to have proven results.

There are better options at better value in this race..

Russian Emperor

Ran well at Royal Ascot wearing down First Receiver close home and has never run over 1 mile 4 but seems to have been calling out for further (having been raced over further each time in his career).

Group 3 winner that is still progressing and has some good experience under his belt now, I expect him to be coming home like a train late doors depending on how the pace works out in the race.

Kameko

Won a Group 1 at 2 years old and carries the Qatar racing colours, stamina is not assured here but if he does get the trip he is going to be a real handful late home, could give the favourite a lot to think about.

Khalifa Sat

Likable colt with a very good attitude has some clear ability having progressed to take a listed event latest making all and when pushed finding more, that to me suggests he has more up his sleeve and could be a shock winner here at odds of 40/1 and higher.

This is my each-way choice of the race by far as I don’t feel the odds reflect his potential chance sin this race.

Tom Marquand has already expressed he thinks that this horse has a good chance in the race too.

My Epsom Derby 2020 Tips

I wouldn’t put you off backing the fav here but as I say he only has a listed win and this is a bit different being a group 1, the ability does affect the price but there are horses in here with group 1 and 1 wins to their name and listed just the same.

My each-way selection has to be Khalifa Sat 40/1 – I would advise a £5 each way max bet on this one.

If you are looking for a solid win bet option I would go for Russian Emperor 6/1 – but if the price is above 5/1 you may as well cover your bets with an each-way punt.
