The Beginning
I launched Tipsterreviews.co.uk in October 2014 with the sole aim of weeding out the scams and finding real sports betting tipsters who can deliver a profit when following their bets.
When I first started looking for a tipster, I must have been scammed out of thousands of pounds by fake services that ran away with my money without so much as a confirmation email!
I also followed many dead-end tipster services, betting my bankroll away from £1000 to £0 over and over again, almost giving up.

I feel I have built a platform where punters ranging from complete newbies to seasoned pros can find winning tipster services and professional punters who really do make a profit from betting.
I follow tipster services for a minimum of 3 months with real money, collecting data along the way and reporting back on £10 stakes, whether the service has made me a profit or a loss.
The reason I use £10 stakes is that not every punter out there can afford to follow tips from a tipster at £100 plus, like some sites would have you believe.

Our Tipster Review Process
Before reviewing a tipster, we check:
- Website quality
- Claimed results
- Historical records
- Subscription pricing
- Contact details
- Responsiveness of the tipster (customer service)
There are many ways to spot a fake, usually through fake results and false claims. To begin with, we find the historical results and verify them independently against our own real bets on the tipster’s actual selections.
Some tipsters don’t answer emails, and for us thats a big red flag. If the service is unusually expensive, if there are no contact details for a tipster, it simply won’t get looked at by us, and you should definitely avoid it too.
